TUCSON, Ariz. In spring 2004, the California mens golf team reached the pinnacle the ultimate high in college athletics. On an overcast, damp day at The Homestead in the Virginia mountains, the Bears won the NCAA Championship.

Cal was ranked in the 80s in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings in fall 2007, but charged back in the spring including a third at the Pac-10 Championship to finish the season ranked in the 40s.
