The Speidel Course, opened in 1971, is generally the tighter of the two layouts and has played host to its share of significant tournaments over the years. 2009-06-28 Bradshaw Wins No. Fore. - News, Sports, Jobs - The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register

Relatively quiet the first two days, Ross began the final round two back of the leaders - Bradshaw and Bob Friend - and bogeyed the first hole. Then he played the last 17 holes at 5-under-par to eventually force a tie with Bradshaw, who had been passing the lead back and forth all day with Concord golf coach Darcey Donaldson, while trying to hold off a furious push by Marshall University golfer Bosten Miller.

Im playing my game; hes playing his game, Ross said. Golf is a numbers game. If I go out there and I start playing him, then I am in trouble. He can pound it a lot further than I can. But golf is just a matter of who shoots the lowest score. When he gets to be 57, hell understand what its like to play with the 25-30 year old kids.

2009-06-18 Virginia won and no. 39t come home empty-handed Charlottesville Daily Progress

As a guy growing up here and watching all the teams play in the College World Series and asking for autographs when players got off the bus and asking for memorabilia, it is unreal to see Virginia here, said Briggs, a two-way standout at Creighton Prep. It really is crazy. It is just really surreal that I could be the guy on the field at Virginia or in the dugout at the College World Series.

There is, however, another interesting angle to go with the Cavaliers and rsquo; first trip to the Nebraska-based baseball gala. That is where Ryan Briggs enters the picture.
