2008-04-15 Despite missing the cut, Weaver still has an experience of a lifetimeWeaver took several trips to Augusta on the weekends in the months leading up to the Masters. He stayed on the famed course for hours at a time practicing every possible angle of approach to every green, pitching out of every bunker, chipping from every hill and knoll. Weaver trained the only way he knew how. Other golfers might lower their expectations and play cautiously, aiming to simply make the cut, or shoot for a conservative target score. But Weaver knows that to perform well under pressure and play great golf takes attitude, moxie and aggression. In other words, it necessitates a winning mindset, exactly as Tech golf coach Jay Hardwick taught him. 2008-04-18 Book Review: Arnie and Jack - Palmer, Nicklaus, and Golfs Greatest Rivalry by Ian OConnorTom Parsons has been blogging under the pseudonym Daddypundit since . His nickname reflects his personal blogs focus on a fathers persepctive on news, politics and current events. Tom is an avid reader, musician, and occasional golfer. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two daughters. This could be due to the fact that the relationship between Nicklaus and Palmer has been one of grudging respect and intense competition both on and off the golf course. Its fair to say they probably arent the closest of friends. But both recognize the impact that the other has made on the game. Each has had an important part to play in the success and growth of the PGA tour. Both of them also have made important contributions to the game of golf in their off-course activities.
