So hes going back, returning to Augusta National today after competing for Virginia Tech in the Augusta State Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The 21-year-old college senior is going back to play one of the worlds great courses and reconnect with so many people who made his experience special in 2008.

Weavers golfing world changed in the summer of 2007 when he won the British Amateur. The victory earned him a spot in some of the worlds most prestigious professional golf tournaments, including the British Open, Masters and three regular PGA Tour events.

The tournament returns to Forest Hills, following a three-year run at Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, Ga. This is the 28th year in the 31-year history of the event that the tournament has been played on the Donald Ross-designed layout at Forest Hills.

The womens team has a lot ahead of them. In order to play as a team at least four women are needed to compete. Because they only have three current competitors, they have to play as individuals rather than a team. The fall brought along competition from St. Vincent and the women hosted the SHU Fall Classic at Hannastown Golf Club where they finished 5th. Most of the tournaments played are two days long and are often played on Sunday and Monday afternoons. The Griffins first spring tounrment will be played in Charleston, West Virginia at Big Bend. It is the West Virginia State Invitational. After that, the Griffins can expect five more tournaments to be played up until the WVIAC Womens Championship.
