2006-09-18 Greg Edwards extends Langley leadIn tennis, William and Marys Megan Moulton-Levy took second place in Flight A singles but won Flight A doubles with Katarina Zoricic at the W and M Invitational womens event. W and Ms Magdalena Bresson and Klaudyna Kasztelaniec were runners-up in B doubles, and Virginia senior Caroline Hammond of Williamsburg placed fifth in Flight C singles. At the Virginia Invitational mens tournament, Wake Forests Todd Paul beat ODUs Harel Srugo -1 to win the Orange (No. 1) bracket in a duel of nationally ranked players. . At the Hampton Roads Collegiate Invitational in Virginia Beach, Norfolk State swept the mens A titles, with Pavel Suchy winning in singles and the team of Miroslav Vlcek and Petr Krakora prevailing in doubles. The event, which will be held at Virginia Oaks Golf Club in Gainesville on , will benefit Greens non-profit Youth Life Foundation (YLF). Virginia Oaks Golf Club is a P. B. Third-ranked Georgia took the early lead at 8-under 280 followed by top-ranked Duke at 283. The Blue Devils are the defending tournament champion and reigning NCAA champs. A three-stage marathon (26. 2 miles on three successive days) starts on Thursday, Sept. 28 and finishes on Saturday, Sept. 30. The regular 11th annual Lake Tahoe Marathon will be run on Saturday, along with a half-marathon, half-marathon, 10K and 72-mile ultramarathon around the lake.
