After the argument, investigators say Sowards left his friends Williston home with items from the home. He was wearing camouflage at the time. The argument happened Sunday night. Tuesday night at a couple heard the dog bark and went outside to find a man officials say was Sowards. He asked for directions back to the golf course, saying he couldnt find his colleagues with the Sheriffs Department. After pointing him in the wrong direction, the couple called police.
