His predecessor teamed with the Maryland Economic Development Corp. to develop the usd. 4 million Compass Pointe - a great golfing facility but one that ended up costing taxpayers usd. 500,000 when MEDCO needed more money to pay off its debts. The county ended up buying out MEDCO just to save the countys bond rating. The city surely doesnt want to repeat this mistake.
