His predecessor teamed with the Maryland Economic Development Corp. to develop the usd. 4 million Compass Pointe - a great golfing facility but one that ended up costing taxpayers usd. 500,000 when MEDCO needed more money to pay off its debts. The county ended up buying out MEDCO just to save the countys bond rating. The city surely doesnt want to repeat this mistake.

Crane posted scores of 224 to tie for fifth place in both the SJSUSpartan Invitational in San Jose, Calif. , and the Bryan National Collegiate in Browns Summit, N. C. Crane fired a four-under-par 66, her low round as a Tar Heel, at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational where she tied for 21st place. Crane was slowed last fall by wrist surgery.
