A hearing on the Country Club of Marylands proposal to build houses near its golf course is set for today, with Baltimore County officials saying that the clubs revised plans appear to resolve the long-running dispute with neighbors about the project.

Tulane administration announced last December that all engineering majors except biomedical and chemical engineering would be cut, the graduate school would no longer be recognized as an administrative body and athletics programs including tennis, golf, womens swimming and soccer and mens track and cross country would be eliminated, according to a article in the New Orleans Times-Picayune. The First Tee of Prince William County is seeking qualified volunteers to help teach curriculum classes and mentor youth. Volunteers do not need any golfing experience; some help children learn life skills and serve as coordinators to assure classes are well organized and conducted smoothly. Accomplished players and avid golfers can also volunteer to serve as assistant instructors to LPGA/PGA teaching professionals conducting classes. This allows more one-on-one instruction with participants. Volunteers only need to commit to eight hours per year.
