Junior Stacy Lewis enters the 2006 season as the top-ranked amateur golfer in the nation after a stellar summer which included a win at the World University Games in Tornio, Italy earlier this month. A two-time All-American and two-time first team all-SEC pick, Lewis figures to be the LadyBacks boat, paddle and life preserver all rolled into one.

The convoy is scheduled form between 8 and 10 a. m. at Baum Stadium on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville before driving north on I-540 from Fayetteville to the Lowell exit. The convoy is scheduled to end at FedEx facility in Lowell where drivers will be greeted by Special Olympics athletes and treated to a cookout.

In the first tournament, under the guidance of new head coach Brad McMakin, the Hogs snapped a winless streak that dated back to , when UA earned a share of the title at the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate. Arkansas and St. Marys both posted identical scores of 3-over par 287 in Fridays final round.
